Keep running and feel easier
I know it's weird for me to talk about work out every single blog entry, I am a graduate student any way. I am supposed to talk about my research and keep updating to my advisor instead of feeling good about myself-- frankly there's little to feel good.
Well, at Father's Day. It's necessary to do something more than making a phone call. I got a new iphone last Friday. What will he get? Just a regular call, I am good, you are good. miss you and bye?? I decided to run a 10K to celebrate how healthy I am and how great parents they are!! It's a good idea, isn't it. Before I go into details of this 10K, I need to update my recent two weeks running profile.
6.8-6.14 0/3/2/3/3/1/1+W All the numbers represent the mileage at that day and imply a 8 minutes abs after stretching. W means free weights
6.15-6.21 0/3/1/3/1/W+S/6.5 roughly 10% more than last week. S means swim.
I felt super after an easy week with only 8 miles total. So initially I was running in an incline interval, 6 mph 0 incline/6 mph 3 incline; After 20 minutes, I felt nothing and decided to increase to 6.5 for 10 minutes. To keep running without injury I switched back to 6.5mph manual mode and finished the rest half hour. Total calories might up to 750 and all my feeling is just being tired. No indication of injury has been observed till now.
My plan is to keep the cutting schedule for another 1 month and start cross-training from then on. Hopefully I will be fit enough to run a half marathon before end of summer. Then I would focus weights more to build up some real shape.
